Cancellation of Eurojuris Practice Groups and Training Days // 2020

Dear members, Dear friends,

COVID-19 is presenting the world with a fast-developing pandemic crisis.
With that in mind, the board wishes to work alongside you in meeting the challenges we are all facing.

We hope that you, your families and those close to you are, and remain, safe.
We hope that the impact on all our member firms will be as limited as possible and that all your firms and their team members remain in good health: physically, mentally and financially.

In relation to our Practice Group days in Edinburgh, we have made the difficult but inevitable decision to postpone the event, although that may lead to the Practice Group days still being held there in May 2021. Any advance payments you have already made to Eurojuris International in respect of this year’s event will be refunded in full.

The decision by your board to postpone was certainly not one taken lightly but, as with any organization today, it’s our responsibility both to take into consideration the health, safety and well-being of our members and to play our proper part in the worldwide effort to tackle this crisis.

A final decision in respect of Jurismus’ planned Congress in Rotterdam in June does not need to be made for some weeks yet, although a final decision will be made by Jurismus, in conjunction with Eurojuris International, by 1 May 2020. In part that is because the General Assembly needs to meet before the end of June, so we need to make a decision on the venue and format for that meeting in good time. Rest assured that we will keep you promptly informed of all material developments.

Eurojuris International will continue to function. Diane Tries and the board remain available for any questions you may have.
We will continue to work for the benefit of our network.
We wish you all the best in these challenging circumstances,

The board of Eurojuris International
